Description: The original Russian name for this piece by Pyotr Tchaikovsky (1840-1893) is “Trepak” and it features in his famous ballet “The Nutcracker”. The dance is based on a traditional Ukranian folk dance while the ballet is based on the story “The Nutcracker and the King of Mice”, written by E.T.A Hoffman. A young girl dreams of a Nutcracker Prince and his fierce battle against a Mouse King and his army. Make your fingers dance across the keys!
