THE LAMB
Description: This study predominantly centres on cross-hand playing. The movements required are rapid and yet gentle and unlaboured over the span of the keyboard. The music is written on three staves and while it visually distinguishes the character of the setting, this format also allows for development of basic score reading. Inspired by a story from the Book of Genesis, this study can be appreciated as an expressionist work as well as a technical study. The particular verse that served as inspiration is:
