“ODE TO JOY”

Description: This well-known melody is an excerpt from Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony Number 9, composed between 1822 and 1824. A symphony is a large work for orchestra and this particular symphony is considered to be one of the greatest works ever written. Beethoven expanded on the traditional orchestra in this work to include a full choir (making it into a “choral symphony”). The “Ode to Joy” theme appears towards the end of this epic work. Maintain a steady beat and play it joyfully.
