August Eberhard Müller (1767-1817) was a German organist, keyboard player and flautist. He was organist at the Nikolaikirche, Leipzig, and first flautist in the Gewandhaus orchestra. His early output is Mozartian; his later piano music is more virtuoso in style. He wrote influential piano and flute tutors.

The 24 exercises featured here work on independence of the hands, rhythmic security and evenness of touch. I suggest learning them as quick studies (spend about a week on each exercise). As I have transposed each exercise into every white note major key, you may like to choose a different key for each exercise.
